The Maui News
> Live Pono 2011 combines good entertainment and a great cause. The benefit ho‘olaule‘a, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Keopuolani Park Amphitheater in Kahului, will feature live performances by local artists, ono grinds and family activities — all for an effort to “do what is right.” Lineup includes Jah Residentz at 10:15 a.m.; Nuff Sedd at 11:15 a.m.; Lia Live at 12:15 p.m.; Unified Soul at 1:15 p.m.; Homestead at 2:15 p.m.; and Kohomua at 3:15 p.m. Food booths, prize drawings (grand prize is a one-night stay in The Fairmont Kealani Resort ocean-view accommodations and dinner for two at Ko) and a keiki zone with bouncy castles, crafts and face painting, will add to the fun. Presale tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for keiki (ages 7 to 13; keiki younger than 7 are free) available at Maui Thing and the Pono . . . Do What Is Right! stores in Wailuku. If tickets are purchased at the door, $3 will be added. Held as a fundraiser for the keiki of Pono Soccer Club, the Pono movement encourages young and old to live in integrity; the All Pono nonprofit oversees youth sports and other activities.
