NEW TOWN PARTIES MOVE TO MAKAWAO
Four parties, four times a month at four locations means there's zero reason to miss Maui County's fresh street festivals. This week, Makawao will debut its block party from 5 to 8 p.m. Celebrate the historic town center's shops, salons and studios; venues will offer discounts, refreshments and giveaways. Performances include Kepa, Hula Honeys, Upcountry Celtic, Laurie Balubar, Lily Meola, Atyana Shapiro-Leiste and various DJs. Keiki will find ornament decorating, face painting and balloon twisting. Park in lots on Brewer Road, at Makawao School, at the municipal parking lot on Makawao Avenue or the Komoda Store parking lot.
