FirstLight, the Maui Film Festival's 13th annual holiday gift to Maui film lovers, concludes the first phase of screenings Saturday in Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
Featuring the year's best films -especially those expected to be in contention for Academy Awards and other end-of-year film prizes, FirstLight will resume Dec. 14, with screenings continuing through the end of the year in Castle Theater.
Admission is $10 for FastPass holders, $12 for regular admission, free for keiki 12 and younger for G- and PG-rated films, available from the MACC box office. For more details, visit www.mauifilmfestival.com.

7:30 p.m. - "The Lady" NR, 1:38
Burmese Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi's life comes alive in this epic story of a married couple committed to peaceful revolution.
