WAILUKU - Who needs snow? A warm wonderland comes to Wailuku during First Friday festivities from 6 to 9 p.m. on Main, Market and Vineyard streets. The holiday-themed street party will feature a parade from Market to Vineyard with Santa and his Maui Cheer Babes helpers, starting at 6 p.m.; and music by Gale Wisehart and Uluwehi Guerrero’s community choir, Na Leo Lani O Maui, at Maui Thing’s stage at 6:30 p.m. Other entertainment includes Christmas carolers and a sneak preview of Maui OnStage’s “A Christmas Carol” at the Historic Iao Theater; falsetto award-winner Dane Fujiwara; Gene Argel and ‘ohana performing in front of Café ‘O Lei; Joel Katz with his Hawaiian steel guitar at Wailuku Banyan Tree Park; and Visibly Shaken at the Main Street Promenade stage. Also, Body Alive Yoga and Movement Studio, upstairs at 1995 Main St., will be hosting Exhale! from 5 to 9 p.m. with live music, belly dancing performances, a Christmas card art show and a holiday bake sale. Other activities include gift basket giveaways and keiki projects at the Pono...Do What Is Right store; a Meet-the-Artists holiday party at Swan Interiors; and a Christmas wreath sale at Native Intelligence.
