Advent penance service scheduled
KIHEI - Saint Theresa Church will hold an Advent penance service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

New pastor to join Valley Isle Fellowship
WAILUKU - Pastor Stephen Kaneshiro will be installed as senior pastor at Valley Isle Fellowship at Sunday morning's worship service in the Wailuku Elementary School cafeteria.
Kaneshiro comes to his new post from the Big Island, where he was the pastor for In Christ Alone House Church Ministries. Prior to moving to the Big Island, Kaneshiro was an associate pastor for Valley Isle Fellowship.
The installation ceremony will include a "charge and challenge" to church members by Pastor Paul Kaneshiro of Pukalani Baptist Church and Bob Nutt, moderator with In Christ Alone House Church Ministries. (Stephen and Paul Kaneshiro are brothers.)
In addition, special worship music and dance will be provided by the church's worship team.
"To build every member to be Christlike so that united Valley Isle Fellowship will impact our community for Christ" will be the goal and vision, said the new pastor in a news release. The worship service begins at 9 a.m. A potluck brunch will follow.

Christmas Choir Cantata scheduled
KIHEI - Kihei Lutheran Church will offer its annual Christmas Choir Cantata on Sunday during morning worship service, which begins at 9 a.m.
"Celebrate Emmanuel" is the title of the program by the congregation's 35-voice choir, under the direction of Kathy Krueger.
