PUKALANI - "One Voice," a film about the Kamehameha Schools Song Contest, will be screened from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Kamehameha Schools Maui's Keopuolani Hale. The event is free and open to the public.
Every year in Hawaii, 2,000 high school students compete in the Kamehameha Schools Song Contest where young leaders direct their peers in singing Hawaiian music in four-part harmony. "One Voice" portrays the contest through the eyes of the student song directors as they prepare to compete.
The documentary has garnered awards from Hawaii International Film Festival, San Diego Asian Film Festival and others. For more information on the screening, call 572-3118.
