Sports Spotlight students are selected by athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the sports department of The Maui News. The Alexander & Baldwin Foundation makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic fund.
SPORTS LESSONS: "Being an athlete has taught me that it's about the quality of a team, not quantity. You need to work hard for something you want, nothing comes easy and in the end you'll realize that it was all worth it. Even if you put out your everything on the field, there's always room for improvement. By having great coaches I have learned that humbleness plays a big roll."
