CHA AM, Thailand - Sam Cyr of Makawao earned an Asian Tour card for 2012 with his finish in the qualifying tournament today.
Cyr shot a 2-under-par 70 for a four-round total of 6-under 282 at Imperial Lakeview and Springfield Royal Country Clubs. He was tied for 16th with 20 players still having to finish their rounds early today. The top 40 players and ties were to earn cards.
Cyr, a King Kekaulike High School graduate, had an even-par 72 in the third round Friday.
