Warriors fall to Waves in four sets

MALIBU, Calif. - Playing its first road match of the year, the University of Hawaii men's volleyball team fell to 2-4 on the season Friday, losing to seventh-ranked Pepperdine in four sets at Firestone Fieldhouse.

Steven Hunt had 20 kills to lead the 12th-ranked Warriors in the 21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 loss. JP Marks added 10 kills for UH, which hit just .207 for the match and was outblocked 14.5 to 3.0.

Josh Taylor had 18 kills and four blocks for the Waves (4-1, 3-0 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation).

The Warriors, who fell to 1-2 in MPSF play, play the Waves again today.
