Ringing in the Year of the Dragon all over the island

January 26, 2012
The Maui News

Happy 4709 on the Chinese calendar! A new Year of the Dragon began on Monday, and the lion dancers of Au's Shaolin Arts Society will mark the occasion at spots all around the island through Sunday.

"The whole world is in awe of the Dragon," says Au's Shaolin Arts Society director Ben Seng Au.

"This year, the Year of the Dragon, look for the opportunity to do good things for those you care about and on occasion, for those you might not know as well. Be benevolent like the Dragon and the heavens will reward you for being true to your innate nature of being a citizen of the universe."
