Duane Kanoelehua Ibarra, 50, of Pukalani, passed away on January 18, 2012 in Makawao. He was born February 27, 1961 in Honolulu.
Duane was a graduate of Kamehameha School, in Kapalama Heights. He was formerly employed with the Maui Police Department. He then became a Firefighter III with the Maui Fire Department and was stationed in Makawao. He was also a L.E.O. with Securitas at the Kahului Airport.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku, Mass at 11 a.m., burial 12:30 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku. Ballard Family Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Duane is survived by his wife, Terri Ibarra; daughter, Pomaikai Ibarra; brothers, Ronald Moniz, and Wayne (Janice) Ibarra; father and mother-in-law, Abel & Barbara Cravalho.
