Maui Film Festival promises a truly interactive film experience Wednesday with its screening of "Yogawoman" in Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Academy Award-nominee Annette Bening narrates this documentary look at how dynamic female yoga teachers are changing the face of this ancient physical-spiritual practice around the world. The screening begins at 7:30 p.m., but from 6 to 7 p.m. on the A&B Amphitheater lawn, film fest organizers will present a yoga class for attendees in an attempt to set a record for the largest yoga class held in Hawaii. Part of the proceeds will go to Women Helping Women. For more information, visit www.mauifilmfestival.com.
This new documentary travels to nine countries to explore the global phenomenon of the ancient practice.
