KAHULUI - A high-surf advisory has been issued for north-facing shores of Maui and Molokai until 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
A large northwest swell was expected to arrive Sunday night and peak this evening.
Wave height is expected to rise to 18 to 22 feet. Beachgoers are urged to stay out of the water and away from the shore break.
