Wearing red for a cause

February 15, 2012
The Maui News
Shari Osajima, Noah Honma, Debbie Chuckas, Susan Hansen, Jocelyn Moniz and Kim Finney, all American Heart Association volunteers, gathered in front of the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center and waved signs on National Wear Red Day earlier this month. There were 20 people in red waving signs Feb. 4 to raise awareness about the No. 1 killer of women, heart disease. The Go Red For Women campaign is the American Heart Association’s effort to raise awareness about heart disease, which is preventable. For more information, go to the website GoRedForWomen.org or call (888) MY-HEART.
