Grizzlies beat Rainbow Warriors 94-79

MISSOULA, Mont. - The University of Hawaii men's basketball team began its longest road trip of the season with a 94-79 loss to Montana on Saturday.

Vander Joaquim had 17 points and 10 rebounds for UH (15-11), which had won four of its previous five games. Shaquille Stokes scored 13 points, Hauns Brereton added 12 and Joston Thomas had 11.

The Rainbow Warriors struggled from the foul line, going 19-for-34.

Will Cherry scored 24 points for the Grizzlies (20-6), who have won nine consecutive games, and 15 of 16.

The Warriors are spending 10 days on the Mainland, with road games scheduled against New Mexico State on Thursday and Louisiana Tech on Feb. 25.
