Recently, my truck decided to quit on me in the West Maui Mountains, where there is no phone reception. A few tourists drove by without stopping. Then a car pulled up and someone inside asked if I was OK and if he could help.
When I looked inside, it was none other than Richard Ho'opi'i. I immediately recognized him and told him so. We were unable to get my truck started, but it was amazing to have a world-famous singer come to my assistance. Thanks again, Mr. Ho'opi'i, for your aloha.
