KAHULUI - A community meeting will be held Monday night to familiarize people with their legal rights and the Hawai'i Access to Justice Commission.
The event is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. at Maui Waena Intermediate School. Commission members expected to attend include 2nd Circuit Judge Joseph Cardoza, Maui attorney B. Martin Luna, state Sen. Clayton Hee and state Rep. Della Au Belatti, both of Oahu.
The gathering will include a brief presentation by the commission to discuss its work and the importance of equal justice, which will be followed by a question-and-answer session. The event also will feature a legal fair, giving residents a chance to speak with representatives of Mediation Services of Maui and the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii.
