HONOLULU - Scott Squier allowed three hits in eight innings as the University of Hawaii baseball team won its eighth straight game on Saturday, defeating Wichita State 4-0 at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbows (9-3) scored all their runs with two outs in the third inning - Collin Bennett hit a two-run single, and the next batter, Max Duval, drove in two more with a double. Bennett finished 2-for-4, upping his batting average this year to .382.
Squier (2-1) struck out seven batters and walked two. Jesse Moore pitched the ninth.
The Shockers fell to 5-6.
Albert Minnis (1-1) allowed four runs- two earned - in six innings.
The teams play again today.
