HONOLULU - The University of Hawaii baseball team fell behind early and lost 4-2 to Wichita State on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium, ending an eight-game winning streak.
The Rainbows (9-4) trailed 2-1 going into the bottom of the second inning, and were down 4-1 after three.
David Longville (1-1) took the loss. Piikea Kitamura and Kaeo Aliviado each had two hits for UH.
The Shockers improved to 6-6 by taking the series finale. Kris Gardner (3-0) was the winning pitcher.
Hawaii will begin a four-game home series against Central Michigan on Wednesday.
