March 10, 2012
The Maui News
Kumu Keli‘i Tau‘a (in white) and Kimokeo Kapahulehua conduct a Hawaiian blessing along with members of Halau Maui Nui o Kama on Friday afternoon at the Kihei Town Center. The event brought electric car drivers and business owners together with interested residents to see the Valley Isle move a step closer to energy independence. The event was hosted by Better Place of Hawaii, which recently installed seven charging stations on Maui. Residents also had an opportunity to take a ride in an electric car.
