Kihei – The funky, fun beach town of Paia will spring into action when Fourth Friday hits the streets this week from 6 to 9 p.m. Celebrate the coming of spring with live music, food samples, drink specials, art and more. Highlights include: a special performance by Simmer Street at Paia Bay Café from 6 to 9 p.m.; Indian food demonstration and curry samples by Uma’s Spices in Mana Foods’ tiki bar; a free, public reception at Maui Crafts Guild for featured printmaker and ceramicist Michi Itami, starting at 6:30 p.m.; Indigo Paia music by singer/songwriter Miranda Elli, starting at 6 p.m.; Shaka Pops’ gourmet popsicles made from local ingredients and sold from a tricycle; and margarita specials at Milagros.
