MAUI AUTHOR WILL SPEAK AT LIBRARY

Meet Maui author Linda McCullough Decker who will discuss her new book, "Edward Bailey of Maui: Teacher & Naturalist, Engineer & Artist," at 6:30 tonight at Wailuku library; she will also appear at 3 p.m. Friday at Kihei library. For details, call the hosting library.

SWITCHFOOT SET TO PLAY AT THE MACC

Award-winning California-based rock band Switchfoot takes the stage at MACC's Castle Theater at 7:30 tonight. Formed in 1996, Switchfoot comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Foreman, bassist Tim Foreman, drummer Chad Butler, keyboardist and guitarist Jerome Fontamillas and Drew Shirley also on guitar. The group has recorded eight studio albums, sold millions of records and won a Grammy Award for their 2009 album, "Hello Hurricane." For details, see Maui Beat.

HOLLYWOOD GLAM AT 'TINSEL TOWN NIGHTS'

An evening of 1940s Hollywood glamour, dancing, a live and silent auction and food from top isle restaurants will be in store at Montessori Hale O Keiki's "Tinsel Town Nights." DON'T MISS DIVA'S NIGHT OUT IN WAILEA

Get decked out for a Diva's Night Out that's not to be missed. Spa Grande and Maui Finest Men are teaming to raise funds for Visitor Charity Walk with the ultimate ladies' event at 7 p.m. in Wailea. The evening includes the Finest Men Auction where women with winning bids will be served by local firefighters and lifeguards; Spa Grande treatments and beauty production auctions; desserts, refreshments and more. He will headline the stand-up comedy show; "Chino" LaForge will host feature performances by Brad Starks and Del Sol.
