SPOKANE, Wash. - The University of Hawaii baseball team remained winless on the road this season after losing 9-3 to Gonzaga on Sunday, completing a four-game series sweep by the Bulldogs.
Royce Bolinger homered twice for Gonzaga (16-6), hitting a two-run drive in the fourth inning and solo shot in the sixth. He finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs. Eric Lane scored three runs.
Trevor Podratz hit a two-run homer for UH (14-11) in the second inning, and was 2-for-4 in the game with three RBIs. The games against the Zags were the first road contests of the season for the Rainbows.
Kyle Dowdy (1-1) allowed five runs in two innings and took the loss.
Billy Moon (2-1) permitted 11 hits but just three runs in 6 1/3 innings.
Hawaii starts a four-game series with UC Davis at Les Murakami Stadium on Thursday.
