NA KUPUNA OHANA SERENADERS SHOW
Experience yesteryear through Hawaiian song and dance as the Hawaiian Music Series features Lahaina's own Na Kupuna Ohana Serenaders from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Baldwin Home Lawn in Lahaina. Na Kupuna Ohana Serenaders, a collaboration of talented musicians and dancers, travel islandwide, sharing their aloha through a wide range of traditional songs and hula. The oldest member of the group is 92 years old and still active as ever, according to a release. The free concert is presented by The Lahaina Restoration Foundation. MAKANA RETURNS TO STELLA BLUES CAFE
Slack key guitarist and singer Makana returns to Stella Blues Cafe in Kihei for a two-night dinner show. Makana's songs range from traditional to original, instrumental and lyrical, and explore a broad spectrum of themes. He has performed in venues worldwide, ranging from Tianjin Opera House in China to The White House; toured nationwide with Jason Mraz; and opened for Sting, Santana and Elvis Costello. HAIKU HO'OLAULE'A AND FLOWER FEST
The 19th annual Haiku Ho'olaule'a and Flower Festival will bloom from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Haiku Community Center and Haiku Elementary School. The event will feature entertainment, arts and crafts, local plants and produce, one of the island's largest silent auctions, a historical display, games and of course, many, many vibrant local flowers.
