HONOLULU - The University of Hawaii baseball team lost its fifth straight game Thursday night, falling to UC Davis 5-3 at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbows, who were trying to rebound after being swept in a four-game series at Gonzaga last week, fell to 14-12.
Matt Sisto (4-3) allowed five runs, four earned, over eight innings in taking the loss. He gave up nine hits with no walks and two hit batters.
UC Davis starter Dayne Quist (4-0) struck out nine in seven innings of work.
Designated hitter Trevor Podratz hit a two-run homer to right-center field in the fourth inning to help UH close to within 4-2, but the Aggies (11-10) were able to hold off the Rainbows.
