UH opens WAC play with rout of Fresno State

HONOLULU - The University of Hawaii baseball team scored five runs in the seventh inning to beat Fresno State 8-2 in both teams' Western Athletic Conference opener Thursday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Breland Almadova and Zack Swasey each drove in three runs for the Rainbows (18-12).

UH starter Matt Sisto (5-3) gave up two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six batters over six innings. Tyler Linehan (3-3) took the loss for the Bulldogs (14-15).
