Children's Easter program Sunday
LAHAINA - The Apostolic Faith Maui Branch Church will be celebrating Easter with a Children's Easter program Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m.
The program titled "He Is Not Here . . . He Is Risen" will be conducted entirely by the children of the Sunday School. There will be songs, instrumentals and recitations of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The program is being directed by Annette Pagay.
The Easter program announcer is 13-year-old DeShawn Carillo, an 8th-grader at Kamehameha Schools Maui. His parents are Douglas and Lisa Carillo.
The evening service begins at 7 and will be conducted by the adult members of the congregation.
Pastor Kenneth Alverio will preach a spirit-directed sermon.
The church has a weekly telecast shown every Sunday at 8 a.m. on KITV-Channel 4, unless pre-empted by sports and aired later at 1 p.m.
Apostolic Faith Maui Branch Church is located at 1211 Front St. and is recognizable by the large "Jesus is Coming Soon" sign on its rooftop.

Easter services, egg hunt set in Waiehu
WAIEHU - Easter services for the Maui Church of Christ will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, with an Easter egg hunt for children at noon.
Baskets, plastic eggs, treats and refreshments will be provided. The event is free.
A children's Sunday School program also will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
The church is at 810 Waiehu Beach Road.

Special service planned for Easter
PUKALANI - The congregation of Jesus Is Alive Church will hold its Easter celebration Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m. with a special church service.
The service will be followed by lunch and an Easter Egg hunt for children.
The event is free and open to the public.
The church is located at 3700 Haleakala Highway in Pukalani.
