A bat boy’s job is never done

Kahului Elementary School kindergartner Ty Ishikawa, 6, hustles back to the Maui AJA All-Stars dugout Saturday morning during the Hawaii AJA Baseball Association’s 77th annual tournament at Maehara Stadium in Kahului. Ty said being a bat boy is fun. “I like getting the bats,” he said between bites of a mid-inning plate lunch. Maui lost to Oahu, 3-2, in the championship game Sunday.
