KAHULUI - Two women have been arrested for shoplifting in separate incidents at different Queen Ka'ahumanu Center stores, police said.

One theft occurred Nov. 8 at Macy's when two females left without paying for clothing valued at more than $400, said acting Lt. Scott Migita of the Criminal Investigation Division.

After obtaining the license plate number of the vehicle the females fled in, police contacted the registered owner and one suspect was identified, Migita said.

Police issued an all-points bulletin for 25-year-old Rhea Ragudo of Kahului, who was located at 1:25 a.m. Sunday in Kula and arrested. She was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail on a charge of second-degree theft.

Another shoplifting occurred at about 6 p.m. Saturday when Sears loss-prevention officers reported a woman left the store without paying for men's and women's clothing and electronics valued at more than $300, Migita said. She had concealed the items, which were recovered when she was apprehended as she left the store, Migita said.

The woman was identified as Leilani Kauhola, 26, of Wailuku. She was charged with second-degree theft, with her bail set at $1,000.
