Yaeko Konda, 78, of Napili, died on March 30, 2012 at Hale Makua Wailuku.
Service will held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at King's Chapel, Lahaina. The family requests aloha attire.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Mrs. Konda was born on January 25, 1934 in Tomiaimachi, Kumamoto-ken, Japan.
She was a housekeeper at Kahana Sunset.
She is survived by her sons, Roy Konda and Ronald Yukio Konda of Maui; a daughter, Amy Konda of Bellevue, WA; sisters, Yoshie Hirae, Tomiko Masaki, Yukie Oda, Sakae Narimato of Kumamoto, Japan.
Yaeko enjoyed listening to her favorite singer, Itsuki Hiroshi, Japanese radio shows and music. She also enjoyed making sushi and manju, crocheting, sewing, and was a member of the Lahaina Senior Citizen club.
