WAILUKU - Volunteer leadership training is being offered by the county Volunteer Center on May 4 at The Dunes of Maui Lani.
The training is for volunteer leaders, managers and others who work with volunteers.
"How to inspire, motivate and communicate with your volunteers in ways that cost nothing" will be presented by Alt Kagesa of Pacific Training & Facilitation. The training will offer ideas on how to leverage the power of purpose, to recognize and motivate volunteers, to build a sense of belonging and to effectively communicate with others.
The training is free, and lunch will be provided.
To join the training, a person must be a volunteer leader and/or work with volunteers in the community. The training will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The registration deadline is April 20.
