The Maui News

WAILUKU - A qualified agency is being sought by the Maui County Office on Aging to produce the 39th annual Maui County Senior Fair in October through a competitive bidding process.

Written bids are due to the Office on Aging by 4 p.m., April 30.

The War Memorial Gym has been reserved for Oct. 27; bids with alternate sites but for the same day will be considered.

The lowest bidder will be required to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the county to produce and manage the Senior Fair.

The agency would have to agree to secure performers, obtain permits and insurance, and recruit vendors and volunteers, among other contract requirements.

Bids need to include an overview of implementation plans that provide information as to how the objectives will be met.

Bids may be submitted electronically with "Senior Fair Bid" in the subject line to deborah.arendale@mauicounty.gov; by fax to 270-7935; by mail to Maui County Office on Aging, One Main Plaza, 2200 Main St., Suite 547, Wailuku, 96793 or by hand.
