Women are realists in right-to-choose debate

April 12, 2012
The Maui News

Hear, hear! Thank you, Linda Lingle (Viewpoint, April 6), for the well-written opinion about a woman's right to choose. It always amazes me that so often it's men who lead the charge, shout the loudest and pen the legislation to control a woman's right to choose.

It's also the men who leave their wives for a younger (less saggy) woman, skip out on child support or, after divorce, leave the majority of care to the woman so he can get on with his life. The same children they championed for suddenly become their burden. Ironic.

Women are the realists in this argument.
