MIL softball: Dragons top Farmers to clinch D-II regular-season title

Hana High School clinched the Maui Interscholastic League Division II regular-season softball championship with a 14-4, six-inning victory over Molokai on Friday in Hana.

Brittany Smith, Pakalana Helekahi and Nahea Kapoi each had two hits for the Dragons (6-1) - Helekahi had a double.

Tiana English and Shariah Moilena-Lopez each had a pair of hits for the Farmers (4-3), tied with Lanai for second place heading into today, the final day of the regular season.

* LANAI 17, ST. ANTHONY 1, 3 INNINGS: At Lanai City, Kahelelani Zablan collected six RBIs to help the Pine Lasses improve to 4-3.

Zablan batted 4-for-4 with a double and Megan Amby homered for Lanai, which scored 10 runs in the second inning and tacked on five more in the third to end the game by the mercy rule.

St. Anthony fell to 1-6.
