The men of Halau Kekuaokala‘au‘ala‘iliahi perform Friday night during the Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo. Competition results were not expected to be announced until late Saturday night. The only Maui halau in the competition is led by kumu hula ‘Iliahi and Joy Haunani Paredes.
