Merle James Honaker, 97, of Kahului, died April 9, 2012, at home with hospice care.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, at 9 am at Nakamura Mortuary, with service at 10 am. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Mr. Honaker was born on October 4, 1914, in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was a retired Educator.
He was predeceased by two sons Harry Honaker and Merle (Rosario) Honaker, Jr.
He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Rose Honaker.
He is survived by three sons Ernest Honaker, Joseph Honaker, Jalvin (Rachel) Endriga; three daughters Leilani Honaker, Kathleen Honaker, Janet Honaker; and 12 grandchildren.
Merle enjoyed ballroom dancing, swimming, farming, going to the beach, and spending time with his family.
