Douglas "Doug" Maiha'a Sado, 80, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away on March 28, 2012, at his home. He was born on October 8, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will start at 6:30 p.m.; a private burial will be held. The family requests no flowers.
Doug was a retired mechanic, heavy equipment operator, member of Operating Engineers Local 3, and owner of Doug's Trucking. He is survived by his wife, Comfort Moana Sado; sons, Hiram "Makana" (Lynn) Sado, Jonathan "Malama" (Stacie) Sado; daughter, Doreen Sado; brothers, Clayton Sado, Joseph Sado; sisters, Lorraine Adolpho, Louisa "Nani" Sabal, Francesca Tokunaga; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
