With great disappointment, I read former Gov. Linda Lingle's April 6 Viewpoint, "Women should have control over their own bodies."
She states, "We have seen this important majority of the voting public degraded to little more than a political pawn," implying that all women agree that abortion should be legal and that this is the defining issue for this voting bloc. What evidence does she have for this? I know many women who are pro-life. Not only this, her arguments for choice are thin and easily defeated in debate.
Truth of the matter is, those of us in the pro-life community are the true pro-choice party. We defend the right of the baby to chose to be born. It is not a choice but a child.
