KAHULUI - The University of Hawaii Maui College's CareerLink office will hold a free college transfer and career fair from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the college's Student Lounge in the Pilina Building.
Participants can expect to gain insights to the local job market, learn about employment skills in demand and network with hiring managers from employers such as AFLAC, Maui County, the Four Seasons Resort and the Maui High Performance Computing Center.
"We encourage people to come prepared," said Kehau Newhouse, education and support specialist for CareerLink. "That means researching colleges and companies of particular interest, updating your resume and having copies available, dressing appropriately and not being afraid to ask questions! This is a great opportunity to make new connections."
The CareerLink program prepares students for the challenges of an increasingly competitive job market, connects them to the business community through internships and helps place them after graduation.
