End of the line for procrastinators

A sign below the drop box at Wailuku Post Office shows that the facility would be accepting tax returns up to the final minute Tuesday. Federal income taxes usually are due on April 15, but because that day fell on Sunday this year filers had a little more time to complete their forms. IRS officials said 20 to 25 percent of all taxpayers wait until the last two weeks before the filing deadline to submit their returns.
