HONOLULU - Baldwin High School graduate Shayna Miyajima will play in the LPGA Lotte Championship this weekend at Ko Olina Golf Club after qualifying for the event over the weekend.
Miyajima, who won the 1998 state high school championship and played at San Diego State, was a member of the LPGA Futures Tour from 2006 to 2009 - her best finish was a tie for 13th, and she made seven cuts. She has reached the final stage of LPGA Qualifying School four times, in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011.
Miyajima is set to tee off at 12:40 p.m. in today's first round and at 7:35 a.m. on Thursday.
