PLAYA VENAO, Panama - Kain Daly of Kuau and Ian Gentil of Paia both remained in the front portion of their brackets after Tuesday's competition in the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.
Competing in waves of four to five feet, Gentil was the runner-up in his second-round heat in the under-16 division with a 10.03, and won his third-round heat with a 14.80. Daly was second in his third-round U18 heat with a 9.60.
Joao Marco Maffini of Haiku, who is representing Italy, is scheduled to surf in the first repercharge round after finishing third in his first-round U18 heat on Monday.
