Anita Moana Kahalekai Akuna, 84, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away on April 5, 2012, at Hale Makua in Kahului. She was born on August 14, 1927 in Kahului, Maui.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service starts at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 2:30 p.m. at Waihee Catholic Cemetery.
Anita retired from the Sheraton Maui Hotel housekeeping department. She is survived by her son, Leslie (Barbara) Kahalekai; daughters, Sandra Akina, Candance Legsay; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren.
