You may know Ed "Charly" Jeheber, ex-Rolfer, artist, plant lover. You may know him as the tall, thin man who wears a cap and picks up trash along Hana Highway as you come into Kahului. He says he did this so people could enjoy their commute to work and not have to look at trash.
Charly is very sick with cancer and has moved from his outdoor home in the field by Ballard Family Mortuary to a home with four walls and a bed. He is under hospice care. All of this is very foreign to Charly but he is comfortable and appreciative.
Charly is such an interesting soul, and I've enjoyed his stories and have gained new insights from him. I know he has a lot of friends and acquaintances who might be wondering where he went. If you would like to send him a message, you can email him at email@example.com or send mail to P.O. Box 284, Puunene 96784.
He's collecting stamps from around the world for his world map on the wall by his bed.
