Paia – Celebrate Earth Day in Paia a week late, but it’s the place to be to dance, eat, shop and play in the name of all that is green and good. Entertainment includes Indigo hosting some of the best DJs in Hawaii with Helmet Conspiracy and Oahu’s top DJ Mr. Nick, from 7 to10 p.m. At Paia Bay Cafe, Dance International Productions from 6 to 8 p.m. features Kamehameha School halau performing hula, Tahitian and Filipino dance under the direction of Madelyn Pascua. Charley’s Paia has Marty Dread and Friends at 9 p.m. Food will come from Mana Foods Wet Fire Hot Sauce and Rugged Nuggets food samples by Rudy’s OG Wet Fire Hot Sauce, 5 to 8:30 p.m., 100 percent of profits will go to SAM Sustainable Agriculture Movement, Hemp House will have free tasting of hemp brownies. Simply 808 (149 Hana Highway) will have specials on henna tattoo and selected shirts. Oceania Maui offers discounts on painted abalone jewelry, from 5 to 9 p.m., donating farm supplies to La‘a Kea Community Farm. Maui Crafts Guild’s opening reception for featured artist jeweler Dianne Anderson runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m., with refreshments and live music by Upcountry Celtic.
