HONOLULU - Baldwin High School and Kamehameha Maui were eliminated from the Stanford Carr Development Water Polo State Championship on Friday, with both teams losing in consolation matches at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
Playing in a fifth-place semifinal, the Maui Interscholastic League champion Bears fell to Waiakea 6-5.
Jazmine Harmon had two goals for Baldwin (10-2). Also scoring were Christina Torres, Alea Weber and Deme Deshayne. Waiakea (10-4) got goals from Jillian Hughes, Lauren Hill, Rachelle Krahner, Kara Paulachak, Katie Torigoe and Akemi King.
In a seventh-place semifinal, Leilehua's Aundrea Vidal scored all of her team's goals as the Mules (8-8) beat Kamehameha Maui 9-6.
Elizabeth Guth had three goals for the Warriors (6-7). Lilinoe Bal, Kara Frampton and Makamae Palos also provided goals.
