This week, the Maui Police Department and Maui Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in identifying the people responsible for the theft of cash from a bank and the theft of items from a purse.
On April 21, a person was seen taking an envelope containing cash from a counter inside First Hawaiian Bank in Kahului. The person left the bank before the victim discovered the envelope was missing.
On March 12, five people were seen grabbing a purse that was unattended at the Fun Factory at the Maui Mall. They took items from the purse, then turned the purse in to an employee at the business.Police obtained surveillance photos in both incidents.
