Now the attorney general is seeking numbers from Wailuku Main Street Association.
The new board of directors of Wailuku Main Street claims the not-so-positive comments came from disgruntled former directors. The new county budget proposal has $245,000 for a yet-to-be named nonprofit to replace Wailuku Main Street and, of course, WMSA is lobbying for the grant. The intelligent question is: Why have any money unspoken for in the budget?
Even an idiot knows that any pile of money, even set aside for a purpose, is irresistible to politicians and must be spent. We can only hope the council will say no to this freebie in the budget.
Give me that money so I can open up a chili pepper water factory and put people to work and take a fishing trip to Alaska and a Bangkok excursion.
