Island Air fare sale travel dates extended
HONOLULU- Island Air is extending its May fare sale travel dates into July.
Customers have until Friday to book $69 one-way fares valid on all Island Air routes for travel through July 12.
The fare is available only through IslandAir.com.
Company officials said the May sales were successful so they extended the travel dates. On Tuesday, Hawaiian Airlines also announced a $69 fare sale, but those tickets are no longer available because they needed to be purchased by the end of Wednesday.
Island Air's fare is for a one-way flight segment and valid for direct flights only. The fare is subject to seat availability and can change without notice. Others costs may apply to the $69 charge.
Island Air provides service to airports on all major Hawaiian Islands.

Hannemann to discuss lodging at event
KIHEI - Former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, a congressional candidate and president of the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association, will discuss hotels and tourism at the Wednesday meeting of the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise.
The breakfast meeting is at 7:30 a.m. at the Five Palms Restaurant at the Mana Kai Maui Resort.
Hanneman is a Democratic candidate for the 2nd Congressional U.S. House seat, which includes Maui County. In March 2010, he was selected as president of the statewide trade association of hotels, hotel management firms, hotel owners, suppliers and related firms. More than 155 hotels with 47,371 hotel rooms in the state are part of the association's membership.
Hannemann will remain after the meeting to answer questions about his candidacy.
The public is invited. The cost of the breakfast is $22.

KIRC announces trolling dates for May
KAHOOLAWE - The Kaho'olawe Island Reserve Commission has announced that trolling will be allowed for permitted vessels Saturday and Sunday and May 26 and 27.
All vessels are required to register annually with the commission before entering the reserve during designated trolling dates. Registered vessels must file catch reports with the commission any time they fish in the reserve, whether fish are caught or not.
A $25 permitting fee will be applied to the required registration process.
