Seabury Craft Fair is today

May 12, 2012
The Maui News

One of the traditions of May on Maui is the annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair.

The 39th edition of the fair takes place today at Seabury Hall, 480 Olinda Road in Makawao. It runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the proceeds benefit Seabury Hall's tuition assistance program.

In addition to simply enjoying a beautiful day on the slopes of Haleakala, attendees can see the works of over 100 artists and crafters, participate in live and silent auctions, find bargains at the rummage sale and enjoy live and silent auctions. There will be great food on restaurant row.

There will be activities for kids, including games, a water slide, a dry slide and pony rides. Adults can purchase plants, produce and flowers. It is truly a fun day for the entire family.

On the serious side, your good time will help underwrite tuition for students to attend Seabury Hall. Seabury Hall's mission statement includes to "prepare students for successful college and university work; move students to develop mind, body and soul; cause students to realize their responsibility to community."

So for a $5 admission fee for adults (free for children under 12), you can help in the school's preparation of young people for college and citizenship. Go out today, have a good time and help a worthy cause.
